About
Bio
I’m the owner and director of On Pointe Dance Academy, where I get to share my
passion for dance with students every day. My dance story started at the Mary Flynn
Murphy Dance Studio with Kathy Kozul. Thanks to her guidance, I was chosen to join
The New England Repertory Dance Company, which was a huge step in my growth as
a dancer.
I spent my whole life training not only as a competitive dancer but also developing a
deep love for the art. This commitment taught me the importance of discipline and
creativity, I’ve also spent many seasons performing in The Nutcracker, playing roles like The
Snow Queen and Sugar Plum Fairy—two characters I absolutely loved bringing to life
on stage. Those experiences gave me so many great memories and helped shape who
I am as a choreographer today.
In addition to running my dance studio, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a judge at
various competitions and sharing my expertise at dance conventions.
My love for teaching has brought me immense personal fulfillment, especially through
the opportunity to guide my two daughters and share with them the joy and passion I
have for dance.
My journey has also been enriched by years of volunteering with Melrose Youth Ballet,
where I’ve had the joy of collaborating with staff and dancers on costumes and
backstage preparations, as well as mentoring incredibly talented young performers.
Guiding these remarkable individuals, witnessing their growth both on and off the stage,
and contributing to their artistic development has been truly rewarding.
Thank you to Melrose Youth Ballet for the wonderful opportunity and for believing in me
to guide these beautiful dancers. Your trust and support have meant so much, and I’m
grateful to be part of this amazing journey with such inspiring young artists. Every
experience, whether judging, teaching, or volunteering, has deepened my appreciation
for the vibrant dance community and the boundless creativity it inspires. I would love to
extend my gratitude not only to Melrose Youth Ballet but also to my co-director, Andrea.
Having you by my side throughout this journey has been truly amazing, and I am
incredibly thankful for your partnership, support, and friendship.
